CR Building Contractors Recognised for Client Service Excellence in Construction & Property Services 2026

CR Building Contractors, led by Founder and Director Costel Radescu, has been recognised with the Client Service Excellence Award in Construction & Property Services 2026, celebrating a journey built on hands-on experience, continued growth and a strong commitment to quality and professionalism.

At the heart of CR Building Contractors is Costel Radescu, Founder and CEO of CR Group, whose career in construction began from the ground up after arriving in London 19 years ago.

Starting out as a labourer, Costel developed his experience by working across different stages and specialities of the building trade.

His willingness to learn, challenge himself and understand the practical demands of construction gave him a strong foundation that would later shape both CR Building Contractors and the wider CR Group.

In 2010, Costel completed his first flat while working for himself. Within just six months, he had grown his team to 15 people, marking an important early step in the development of his business. His ambitions continued to expand, with the company moving into extensions and landscaping by 2012, followed by loft conversions in 2015 and new-build projects in 2016.

This progression reflected Costel’s aim to create a more complete service for clients, with the ability to support increasingly varied and complex construction requirements. Today, that approach is central to CR Building Contractors, which forms a key part of CR Group’s wider property and construction offering.

 

With more than a decade of industry experience across residential, commercial and investment sectors, Costel has developed a practical understanding of construction alongside extensive experience in project management. His hands-on background continues to influence the standards, approach and values behind the business.

Rather than building his career from a purely managerial position, Costel gained experience directly on construction sites, developing an understanding of the different stages involved in bringing a project together. This practical knowledge has played an important role in his approach to leadership and in the way CR Building Contractors manages its projects.

The business places a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality work with precision and professionalism, supporting clients through projects that can range from extensions and loft conversions to new builds and wider construction requirements.

As his ambitions grew, Costel expanded his vision beyond a single construction company, establishing CR Group, a fully integrated property and construction business bringing together five specialist divisions: CR Joinery, CR Developments & Constructions, CR Building Contractors, CR Designs and CR Property Investments.

While each division provides its own specialist expertise, CR Building Contractors remains closely connected to Costel’s original journey within the industry. It represents the practical construction knowledge and experience that helped form the foundation of the wider group.

This multi-disciplinary structure has enabled Costel and his team to support clients across different areas of property and construction while maintaining a shared approach to service, quality and professional delivery. From initial building work through to more complex developments, the group has evolved around Costel’s long-standing ambition to provide clients with a dependable and comprehensive solution.
